Hearing my kids giggle and fuss for at least an hour before falling asleep because "she kicked me", "he started it", "he pulled my covers", "he poked me in the face", was both entertaining and annoying, but they finally slept.
Morning was met with groans (by me), lots of coffee and the hotel omelet bar. And then.....the dealership. My guy was on a mission for a bigger van and would not be dissuaded. The salesman brought around a year old white mammoth of a vehicle. Scott told me to test drive it, since it would be mostly mine to drive, we needed to be sure I could handle it. Handle it, I did...like a champ! He told us they had a brand new black one, but they would be more willing to negotiate price on the white one since it was older. After haggling a while on both, Scott looked at me and asked which I wanted. I said I'd rather drive a limo than a maintenance van, so we went for it! I'm telling you, this thing dwarfs the Ford Excursion, but handles so nice and gives us the added room we were looking for.
So, with belongings transferred and an emotional breakdown by my youngest son because he "just loves our old van so much", behind us, we headed to my sisters house to have lunch with her and the future brother-in-law at one of my hometown favorites...Taco Bueno!
From there it was back to the hotel for naps and quiet time before heading to our dad's house for dinner and a night on the town with friends celebrating the coming nuptials.
in slightly 'other new' my dad called Wednesday night to say he woke up sick as a dog and vomiting, but was feeling better Thursday when we were there for dinner, but, I'd heard from my mom earlier that day that she left work early because she had started throwing up. This is only 'other news' until first thing Friday morning when Scott woke with a vicious migraine then commenced to puke and heave in such violent trips to the bathroom, I finally left with the kids. I dropped the boys with my dad for a few hours then headed to the nail bar with Sophia for some girl pampering and lunch. It was lovely. I had to head back to the hotel with the kids for quiet time and to get us ready for the rehearsal and poor Scott was still suffering.
After some good naps and a shower the kids and I headed out.
Finally, the rehearsal and dinner...
